PHILOSOPHY

Dr. Davis' Philosophy
Founder of Vector Performance™

The philosophy behind the Vector Performance Method™ begins with understanding the function of a cell. A cell consists of a membrane, cytoplasm, and nucleus. Similarly, the human spinal system contains the dural membrane, cerebrospinal fluid, and the brain and spinal cord.

Current research suggests that the cell membrane has sensory properties, allowing the cell to monitor its environment and respond accordingly. The human nervous system functions in a similar way. The dural membrane is firmly attached inside the skull, forming the periosteum and connecting through the cranial sutures to the outside of the skull. This membrane continues down the spinal canal, forming a sleeve around the spinal cord and attaching to the sacrum.

Dr. Bruce Davis researched Vector Point Cranial™ Therapy using proprioceptive points along cranial sutures, integrating techniques such as autonomic downregulation via breathing, rhythmic distal afferent input, Brainspotting, visual field mapping, color-based sensory modulation, and additional multisensory approaches.

These approaches collectively form the Integrated Multisensory Neuromodulation System, a component of the Vector Performance Method™ used to help regulate the brain, vertebral nerves, and the proprioceptive muscle, tendon, and fascial systems.

Muscles are designed to activate during movement rather than at rest. When muscles guard at rest, pain and dysfunction can occur. Vector Point Cranial™ Therapy addresses these issues directly from the cranium using gentle, neurological-based techniques.

This philosophy emphasizes treating the "mainframe" of the body, the cranium, to influence the entire human frame.

Treat from the Main Frame (Cranium) to Treat the Human Frame.
